Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2025

Acceptance of terms

By signing in or using splitt. ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of the service

splitt. lets you track shared expenses and balances with friends and groups. You can add expenses, split bills, record settlements, and view who owes whom. Transaction and balance data is visible only to you and the people involved (e.g. a friend or the members of a group), as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your account and conduct

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it (e.g. harassment, fraud, or violating others' rights). You must provide accurate information where required (e.g. profile name, username).

Data and privacy

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. How we collect, use, and protect your data is set out in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to that policy.

No financial or legal advice

splitt. is a tracking tool only. It does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy of calculations for any particular purpose. You are responsible for your own financial decisions and for settling debts with your friends and groups.

Availability and changes

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. We may also update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for other legitimate reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may retain data as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service (including disputes between users about money). Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
